When Felix and Esther first met in Narok, he immediately felt a connection with her and knew she was the one for him. After briefly engaging with her at a shop, they parted ways but eventually reconnected and started a relationship. Both of them moved to Nairobi to pursue business opportunities, but they always knew they wanted to formalise their relationship with a traditional wedding.  

When the time came, they chose to have their wedding in Narok and made sure to incorporate the following important Maasai traditional customs into the ceremony: 

• One of these involves slaughtering a goat, eating the raw meat, , and drinking blood as part of the wedding festivities.  

• The spitting of cow’s milk on the bride's feet by an elder from her side of the family is a symbolic gesture that represents fertility and a wish for a successful family life.  

• The elders tying green grass around the bride's feet as a sign of beauty before she leaves her mother's house.  

These customs are deeply rooted in the community's cultural heritage and hold meaning for the bride, groom, and their families; passed down from generation to generation.
